| Requirements: | Fabric Requirements: • 24 medium or dark 10” squares. You can pull these from a layer cake or you can cut 10” squares from fabric. If you want to cut from fabric, each 1/3 yd. cut will give you 4 squares; you will need 6 fabrics. • 2 yards background • Borders are optional but if you want them you will need ½ yard for inner border and 1 ¼ yds. for outer border • ½ yard binding • 3 ½ yards for backing Miscellaneous: • ¼ “ sewing foot • Rotary cutter and mat to use at your seat • Regular sewing supplies • Ruler at least 4” wide and 14” long. If you also have a 2” wide ruler bring it. • Squaring ruler at least 7 ½” square Class Preparation: 1. Cut your background into 24- 10” squares. 2. If you are using a layer cake you will not need to cut further at home. If you are using yardage, cut each 1/3 yd. piece into 4- 10” squares. You need a total of 24- 10” squares. |
