| Requirements: | Fabric Requirements: · 16 fat quarters or 16- ¼ yd. cuts of fabric · 1 ½ yards background or contrast fabric. This is the fabric that makes the line design on the sample. · 5/8 yard binding · 4 yds. backing This will make a quilt that is 8 blocks wide by 8 blocks long, approximately 65” square. You can add one or more borders to make it larger if desired. Miscellaneous: · ¼” sewing foot for your machine · Ruler at least 4 ½” wide and 6 inches long · Rotary cutter and mat to use at your seat · Regular sewing supplies · Fabric marker Class Preparation: 1. From your 16 fabrics, cut: · If you have regular quarter yards, cut two 3 ½” full width strips from each one · If you have fat quarters, cut four 3 ½” strips from each one. Cut them along the 18” side so they end up approximately 3 ½” by 22” 2. From your background, cut 32- 1 ½” full width strips. |
